Blue Pacific Juniper (Juniperus conferta ‘Blue Pacific’) is a versatile evergreen shrub valued for its fragrant, soft-textured, blue-green foliage and low, spreading growth habit. Also known as Shore Juniper, this hardy ground cover thrives in challenging locations, including slopes, rock gardens, and coastal areas.
Its cascading form makes it ideal for softening walls, spilling gracefully over edges, or creating a lush carpet of evergreen color. Beyond its beauty, Blue Pacific Juniper is tough, low-maintenance, and excellent for erosion control.
Blue Pacific Juniper Care
Plant in well-drained soil and water regularly to establish. Once established, it requires only occasional watering and is highly tolerant of heat, drought, and salt spray. Pruning is rarely needed but may be done to control spread or shape.
Blue Pacific Juniper Spacing
For ground cover, plant 4 feet apart, measured center-to-center. In mass plantings, rock gardens, or along walls, space plants 6 to 7 feet apart to allow room for their natural spreading growth.
