The Centre Court™ Cherry Laurel is a versatile evergreen shrub that delivers dense, glossy foliage and reliable year-round coverage. Perfect as a hedge, screen, or specimen shrub, this compact grower quickly fills in to provide privacy, shade, and structure in the garden.
In spring, fragrant white flower clusters attract pollinators, while its lush greenery creates an elegant backdrop for landscapes all year long. With fast growth, easy care, and multiple uses, Centre Court™ Cherry Laurel is a top performer for both residential and commercial plantings.
Centre Court™ Cherry Laurel Care
Plant in full sun to partial shade for best growth. This laurel prefers well-drained, fertile soil enriched with organic matter but will tolerate a wide range of soil types once established. Water regularly during the first growing season to encourage deep roots, then reduce frequency—mature plants are moderately drought tolerant.
Apply a balanced, slow-release fertilizer in early spring and again in midsummer for vigorous growth. Prune in early spring to shape hedges or maintain desired size, removing dead or damaged branches as needed. Generally low-maintenance, Centre Court™ is hardy in USDA Zones 6–9 and requires minimal care beyond seasonal trimming and occasional feeding.
Centre Court™ Cherry Laurel Spacing
For hedging, space plants 5–6 feet apart to create a dense, seamless screen. For a more natural, open look, plant 6–8 feet apart. As a standalone specimen, allow at least 8–10 feet of spacing from other trees or shrubs to showcase its glossy foliage and rounded form.
