Each CUBE Cottage planter includes a removable planting liner with convenient carrying handles. Create your arrangement on a potting table, then lower the planted liner into the decorative outer container. The liner also makes it easier to refresh seasonal displays or move plants for winter storage.

Helpful Tip: The removable CUBE Cottage 40 liner is also compatible with certain LECHUZA CUBICO 40 and TRIO 40 planters, making it convenient to switch arrangements between compatible models. Confirm fit before exchanging liners.

How the Self-Watering System Works

1. Prepare the Planter: Assemble the included self-watering components and add the supplied LECHUZA-PON drainage substrate according to the instructions.
2. Add Your Plants: Fill the liner with an appropriate growing medium and arrange your plants with room for root growth.
3. Allow Roots to Establish: Water from above for approximately 2-3 weeks while roots develop. Monitor moisture regularly during this initial period.
4. Begin Reservoir Watering: Once plants are established, add water through the filling shaft, following LECHUZA's instructions and the water level indicator.
5. Allow an Appropriate Dry Phase: Check the reservoir level and allow suitable drying intervals between refills based on your plants' watering requirements.

Outdoor Use: Remove the drainage screw to allow excess rainwater to escape. Watering needs depend on plant type, sunlight, temperature, and weather conditions. The self-watering system does not eliminate the need to check soil moisture.

Optional Rolling Coaster for CUBE Cottage 50

Larger planters become heavy once filled with soil, water, and mature plants. The optional LECHUZA CUBE 50 coaster features four concealed rollers to make moving the planter easier on suitable flat surfaces.
