Holiday Private Jet™ Arborvitae (Thuja occidentalis ‘King of Brabant’ USPP29678, CPBRAF) stands tall and narrow with bright, feathery foliage that stays attractive all year. Rapidly growing 15 to 20 feet high yet only 4 to 5 feet wide, it fits snugly into more confined landscapes. The appealing green needles give off a fresh, pine-like scent that enlivens any garden space. Because of its tight, conical habit and minimal maintenance needs, Private Jet™ is a popular choice for instant privacy or a sharp focal point.
Choosing a living conifer over plastic winter décor helps reduce waste and add natural appeal. You’ll also have a permanent green accent when the holiday season concludes, rather than something headed for the trash. The crisp fragrance and lush presence breathe fresh life into interiors during colder months. Then, once spring nears, this hardy arborvitae is ready to embark on a new chapter in your yard.
Holiday Private Jet™ Arborvitae Care
From January to spring, keep your arborvitae in a spot that gets bright, indirect light and water sparingly so the soil remains evenly moist. Rotate the container every couple of weeks to promote balanced growth. If the indoor air is extremely dry, light misting around the needles can help protect them from browning.
When outdoor conditions warm and frosts subside, gradually acclimate the tree by placing it outside for a few hours each day over the course of a week. Choose a sunny or lightly shaded area with well-draining soil, then dig a hole about twice as wide as the root ball. Plant it so the top of the root ball is slightly above ground level, backfill gently, and water thoroughly. This slender, fast-growing evergreen will quickly enhance privacy and create a polished look in your landscape.
