The 3-N-1 Balmy™ Bee Balm Collection introduces texture and color to a landscape. The collection includes a Monarda didyma Balmy™ Purple ('Balbalmurp'), Balmy™ Pink ('Balbalmink'), and Balmy™ Rose ('Balbalmose'). The feathery petals provide texture, while the light, medium, and dark pink flowers offer a curated look. Dark green ovate foliage with wide serrated edges provides even more texture and fullness.
These color-coordinated plants look lovely in a mixed bed and make a stunning mass planting. Grow them in containers to enjoy the flowers up close, or add them to a container with other colorful plants where they work as a filler. These plants are deer resistant, making them a good pick for areas with high deer pressure. The 3-N-1 Balmy™ Bee Balm Collection plants grow in zones 4 through 9.
3-N-1 Balmy™ Bee Balm Collection Care
The 3-N-1 Balmy™ Bee Balm Collection plants prefer full sun and rich, moist, and well-drained soil. Water consistently to keep the soil damp, but avoid overly wet conditions. Fertilize annually each spring with a balanced, slow-release formula.
Remove spent flowers to maintain a tidy look. Trim leggy growth as needed around mid-summer. Remove all growth to ground level after the first heavy frost.
3-N-1 Balmy™ Bee Balm Collection Spacing
The plants in the 3-N-1 Balmy™ Bee Balm Collection grow 1 foot tall and wide at maturity. Space plants one foot apart to create a continuous planting.
