Growing Zones
Asiatic Jasmine (Trachelospermum asiaticum) is a vigorous evergreen groundcover with a dense, spreading growth habit. Its lush green foliage makes it ideal for covering large areas, slopes, or as an attractive accent in containers and hanging baskets.
This versatile plant is perfect for low-maintenance landscapes, erosion control, and replacing traditional lawns in sunny or partially shaded areas.
Asiatic Jasmine Care
Plant in well-drained soil and water regularly until established. Fertilize with a slow-release fertilizer in spring and summer. Avoid overwatering or over-fertilizing to keep this vigorous grower in bounds.
Prune at any time to maintain shape and size. When used as a grass lawn substitute, mow once per year in spring to maintain a neat appearance.
Asiatic Jasmine Spacing
For groundcover plantings, space 1 ½ feet apart, center to center, to achieve a dense, uniform coverage.
