August Beauty Gardenia (Gardenia jasminoides 'August Beauty') is a glossy, dark green evergreen shrub that produces fragrant white blooms measuring 2–3 inches across. Blooming for up to three months, this compact gardenia makes an outstanding informal hedge and adds a delightful fragrance to any garden.
Its elegant foliage and long-lasting flowers also make it perfect for container plantings or as a foundation shrub.
August Beauty Gardenia Care
Plant in moist, well-drained soil and fertilize regularly with an acid fertilizer. Water weekly, increasing frequency during periods of high heat above 80°F. Prune to shape in late fall if desired.
