Bloomify™ Red Lantana

The orange-red blooms of the Bloomify™ Red Lantana will set your garden ablaze. As the first certified sterile Lantana, this perennial will send all its energy into flowering all season long. The Lantana camara 'UF1013A2A' as it is botanically known grows to around 14 inches tall and produces dark green foliage against which its flowers pop. 

Impressive deer and salt tolerance make the Bloomify™ Red Lantana ideal for both rural and coastal locations. It has a compact habit and is a true butterfly magnet. It is usually grown as an annual but is reliably perennial in zones 9 to 11. This lantana is perfect for growing in a container, planting at the front of a border, or lining a pathway. 

Bloomify™ Red Lantana Care

The Bloomify™ Red Lantana performs best in full sun but can also tolerate partial shade. It prefers a moist yet well-drained soil and can cope with dry spells once established. Water only when the top layer of soil is dry, as overwatering can lead to a decrease in blooms and plant vigor. Lantanas are light feeders but can benefit from a light application of a slow-release, balanced fertilizer in spring.

Deadhead the old flowers regularly to encourage new blooms to form. In late winter or early spring, cut back growth to around 6 inches above the soil level and mulch with organic matter.

Bloomify™ Red Lantana Spacing

The Bloomify™ Red Lantana remains compact with a mature size of 12 to 14 inches tall and 10 to 12 inches wide. When planting out as a group, you can space each plant around 10 to 12 inches apart.
