If you are looking to add some fragrance and a pop of color to your hanging baskets and containers, this begonia is for you. This soft yellow flower has apricot accents and blooms continuously from when planted until frost. Double Delight Primrose is self-cleaning and requires little deadheading. Dark green foliage frames the delicate flowers in this long blooming, cascading begonia perfect for mixed plantings or used as a specimen container.
These sub-tropical beauties thrive in morning sun or part shade. Double Delight Primrose is a mounding and cascading plant, making it perfect for hanging baskets or in a container as a showy spiller. While begonias do not tolerate frost, the tubers can be dug up in fall and overwintered for next year's garden.
Double Delight Primrose Begonia Care
Plant Begonia Double Delight Primrose in part sun to sun (4-6+ hours daily) for best performance. Too much direct sun and heat will cause a begonia to wilt or burn. Use an all-purpose, slow release fertilizer when planting in containers and baskets. Feed with a water-soluble flowering plant food every two weeks.
Begonias prefer consistent moisture, allowing the soil to get slightly dry between waterings. A good practice for watering begonias is to water them below the leaves, taking care not to get the leaves or flowers wet. Use a premium quality, soilless potting mix with good drainage in your pots and hanging baskets.
Double Delight Primrose Begonia Spacing
Begonia Double Delight Primrose reaches a height of 8-14 inches tall and has a spread of 12-24 inches. For best results, allow 10-16 inches per plant. Using 3-4 Begonia Double Delight Primrose plants in a 12 inch planter for a full, beautiful container.
