Attractive double blooms grace the stems of the Easy Elegance® Calypso Rose from early summer until fall, making this prolific re-blooming perennial a natural focal point. The flowers are a bold apricot color upon first blooming and gradually fade to light pink. The full blooms have gently scalloped edges and grow in clusters surrounded by glossy, dark green leaves with serrated edges.

Use this upright, mounded shrub in a bed or border. At 24 to 30 inches tall, this plant can be used as a foundation planting, and the re-blooming nature ensures consistent color throughout the summer. Cut the stems to feature the blooms in arrangements. This hardy, low-maintenance shrub grows as a perennial in USDA zones 5 through 9.

Easy Elegance® Calypso Rose Care

Plant in full sun as this stunner needs at least 6 hours of sunlight each day. Soil should be rich, moist, and well-drained. Deeply water new plants for the first couple of years when the top few inches of soil dry out. Established plants do not need consistent water, but keeping the plant hydrated during a dry spell will ensure consistent flower production. A layer of organic mulch will extend the time between watering and provide an extra nutritional boost.

Apply a balanced fertilizer each spring to support new growth and plenty of blooms. Remove damaged growth at any time, but shape the plant in early spring. Deadhead spent flowers to encourage continuous blooming.

Easy Elegance® Calypso Rose Spacing

This lovely upright shrub will reach 24 to 30 inches tall and wide. This cultivar is largely disease-resistant, but space shrubs 24 inches apart from other plants and buildings to allow air to circulate.
