The Fairytrail™ White Cascade Hydrangea has the dependable good looks of a hydrangea but in a slightly different, weeping form. White 4-petaled flowers bloom in clusters for a much bigger and showier appearance. The mophead flowers bloom on the ends of the arching branches and have a full, fountain-like look. Enjoy the flowers during late spring. Medium green foliage with serrated edges gives the shrub a full and dense appearance.
Use this flowering shrub to create a hedge and add seasonal privacy to a patio or outdoor entertainment area. The spring flowers and green foliage make for a lovely foundation planting or an eye-catching mass planting. The showy blooms attract pollinators like bees, hummingbirds, and butterflies. The Fairytrail™ White Cascade Hydrangea thrives in part shade. Fertile, moist, well-drained, and slightly acidic soil offers ample support. Keep the soil slightly damp for best results, and water during a dry period, especially when the flowers bloom. Apply fertilizer in the early spring to encourage a full flush of flowers.
Deadheading is unnecessary. The sweeping branches do not require much pruning but shape as needed after the flowers fade. The Fairytrail™ White Cascade Hydrangea blooms on old wood, so avoid springtime trims.
