Green Jewel Coneflower is just as tough and dependable as other coneflowers, but it's singular in its shade! These coneflowers feature unique light-green blooms that you’d be hard-pressed to find anywhere else. Incredibly easy to grow and care for, coneflowers are native to North America. They can adapt to a variety of conditions, including windy, hot, and dry sites. They are drought-tolerant, deer-resistant, and butterfly-friendly, too!
Imagine all of the ways that you can put these green flowers to work in the landscape! Pair them with complimentary flower colors like purple for a showy display. Or plant with other coneflowers for a rainbow of hardy summer color. Plant them in a hot, dry garden bed for dependable performance year after year. The green blooms also make exceptional cut and dried flowers.
Green Jewel Coneflower Care
A tough perennial in Zones 3-8, coneflower can adapt to nearly any conditions. The only requirements are at least 4 hours of sunlight, and soil that is not too wet or too fertile.
Regular fertilizing and watering is not necessary for these plants to look their best after they are established. Prune the plant back in early spring to encourage new growth.
Green Jewel Coneflower Spacing
Coneflowers look great in naturalized and wildflower planting, where they can be planted as close as 12” apart. In gardens where you require more structure or spacing, allow for 18” of space.
