Foliage for the Karl Foerster Feather Reed Grass is incredibly stunning. It has tall red-bronze feathery flower spikes that first appear in early summer and lasts through fall. Being a cool season grass, you will see most growth in the spring. This perennial grows to a height of forty-eight to seventy-two inches. It has interest that lasts all year long. Uses include; landscape, focal point planting, ground cover, cut flower, and dried flower.

Plant in part sun for best results. Soil should be well drained and remain moist. Water regularly, and more often in times of extreme heat. Once established, it can tolerate short periods of drought. The Karl Foerster Feather Reed Grass is tolerant to all soil types and Ph levels. Cut back to the ground in late winter just prior to new growth. Pruning should also take place in the late winter. Apply a slow release fertilizer in the spring.
