You cannot help but adore the ornate flowers of the Orange Peony Ranunculus Bulb Kit when they open in spring. Providing everything you need to grow this beautiful ranunculus, this kit is perfect for both beginner and seasoned gardeners alike. It produces multi-layered, bright orange flowers in mid to late spring and grows to 18 inches tall.
The stunning orange flowers are held aloft above mid-green foliage on strong and upright stems. It is considered winter hardy in USDA zones 8 and above but can also be grown as an annual. Use the container supplied to decorate a tabletop, or plant the bulb (corm) in a border to bring some spring color. This plant is easy to grow and low maintenance.
Orange Peony Ranunculus Bulb Kit Care
Once potted up, simply place the Orange Peony Ranunculus in full or partial sun and watch it thrive. Alternatively, plant the corms in fertile, well-drained, and moist soil. Water well upon planting and until flowering has finished. Fertilization is not generally needed. However, a slow-release bulb fertilizer can be added at the time of planting.
Deadheading the spent flowers will help the bulb store up energy for the following year. In zone 7 and below, the bulbs can be lifted to overwinter in a frost-free space and planted out the following spring.
Orange Peony Ranunculus Bulb Kit Spacing
The Orange Peony Ranunculus can grow to 18 inches tall and 6 to 12 inches wide. When growing en masse, bulbs can be spaced from 6 to 12 inches apart.
