Calibrachoa Superbells ‘Double Chiffon’ reminds you of girls in twirling skirts dancing the night away. An abundant bloomer with a cascading growth habit gives you blooms from start to finish at the dance also known as the entire growing season. Soft yellow flowers fill a container, combo planter or hanging basket.
Mixed with other colors, ‘Double Chiffon’ highlights the other flowers. For added color, mix ‘Double Chiffon’ with Superbells® Dreamsicle® Calibrachoa to take it into the fall colors or Supertunia ‘Royal Velvet’ petunia with its deep purple flowers and incredible fragrance.
Superbells® Double Chiffon Calibrachoa Care
‘Double Chiffon’ is easy to grow with just a few caveats. It doesn’t like wet feet so you can let it dry out slightly. If planting in a flower bed, it should be a raised bed with good drainage. And while they are prolific bloomers, they may get a little long for your container which is easily remedied with a pair of scissors and a quick trim. It will actually increase the amount of flowers.
Superbells like a well balanced fertilizer so start off with a slow release fertilizer at planting and then water with a water soluble fertilizer a few weeks later on a regular basis. At the end of July, be sure to give ‘Double Chiffon’ another trim that will encourage another flush of growth taking you into the fall. These Superbells will bloom from planting until hard frost. It is hardy in Zone 9a-11b.
Superbells® Double Chiffon Calibrachoa Spacing
Give these plants at least 8 - 12 inches of space between plants. Measure from the middle of the plant to the middle of the plant next to it when determining the space needed. This helps the plant get enough air circulation once it's at the mature size.
