A shorter Asiatic lily, 'Tiny Rocket’ will grow to no more than 18 inches tall, making it ideal for a variety of garden uses. Deep green, spear-like foliage perfectly sets off its wonderful blooms. 

When blooming, the Tiny Rocket Asiatic Lily is sure to attract hummingbirds and pollinators into your garden. Furthermore, its strong and sturdy stems will not buckle under the weight of its magnificent flowers. This lily is cold hardy and suitable for growing in USDA zones 3 to 8. Being a compact lily, ‘Tiny Rocket’ is ideal for growing in containers or planting at the front of a border.

Tiny Rocket Asiatic Lily Care

Tiny Rocket Asiatic Lily requires full sun and a free-draining, fertile soil for the best display of flowers come summer. Locations that are prone to standing water should be avoided as the bulbs may rot. Applying a slow-release fertilizer early in the year will help encourage the best display. If rainfall is low, water when the top inch or two of soil becomes dry.

As the flowers fade, you can carefully remove them to tidy the appearance. Since the foliage feeds the bulb for the following year, it is important not to remove it before it dies back in the fall. A layer or mulch will help protect the bulbs from the winter cold.

The Tiny Rocket Asiatic Lily generally grows to around 15 to 18 inches tall and 12 to 15 inches wide. Space plants around 10 to 12 inches apart when growing in a group or swath.
