This Lacecap Hydrangea will have you thinking of winter and weddings! It is a fully double pure white bloom that gives the appearance of snow falling when blooms fall. It is hardy hydrangea and will bloom continuously throughout the season. The Hydrangea macrophylla 'Wedding Gown' blooms are reminiscent of a small bridal bouquet.

This stunning hydrangea has rich green foliage that pairs perfectly with the double white blooms. Bloom season begins in the early summer and will continue to bloom abundantly through fall as long as spent blooms are regularly removed. Hydrangea macrophylla 'Wedding Gown' is a compact grower and has a height and spread of three to four feet. It is commonly used in hedges, or as a border plant along walkways. It can be used as a focal point, and its cut flowers are a beautiful addition to any arrangement. You can also plant this to frame entryways and as a foundation planting.

Wedding Gown Hydrangea Care

If you live in northern climates this hydrangea can benefit from afternoon shade. In the southern climates it requires afternoon shade. Plant in part sun ensuring it receives four hours of sun per day. Soil should remain moist and must be well drained. The Hydrangea macrophylla 'Wedding Gown' can tolerate fluctuating Ph levels and all soil types. During periods of extreme dryness be sure to supply enough water. Mulching in the winter around the base is beneficial. Pruning to size can be done once flowering is complete. Dead wood should be removed once new growth appears. Regular deadheading is necessary to encourage rebloom. Be sure to remove all fallen foliage at the end of the season.

Plant Addicts Warranty - 1 Year (Extra Purchase Required)

We encourage all plant lovers to purchase the Plant Addicts Warranty whether you’re new or an expert. There are many variables outside our control and yours that can cause the demise of your plant(s). Examples would be hungry animals, drought, poor soil conditions, over watering, disease, insects & many other factors. The Plant Addicts Warranty is a 1 year warranty protecting you from all the unknowns and will replace your plant if it moves on to the plant afterlife.

The warranty is purchased on a per plant basis and must be purchased at the same time as the plant purchase. We will cover 100% of the price of the plant but the warranty does not cover shipping cost. Simply let us know if your plant has died within one year of receiving it and we’ll get you a new one shipped out. We may ask for photos for documentation purposes but again we’ll try to make it as easy as possible.
