Producing long sword-like green foliage, the Amazon Sword Plant is perfect for putting at the back of a large aquarium and provides great coverage. A hardy and tough oxygenating plant, it is a great first aquatic plant to grow.

In the right conditions, the Amazon Sword Plant can grow quite large to an eventual size of 12 x 8 inches; hence a large tank is required to allow the Amazon Sword Plant to fulfill its potential.
Amazon Sword Plant Sunlight Requirements
The Amazon Sword Plant grows best in medium to high levels of light for 10 to 12 hours a day. It can be grown with slightly lower light levels but may not thrive and produce its much-loved bright-green foliage.
Amazon Sword Plant Care
The Amazon Sword Plant requires a deep nutrient-rich substrate to grow well. It is best grown with a water temperature of 68 to 80°F and pH of 6.5-7.5. No supplementary CO2 is necessary. If required, leaves and side shoots can be removed at the base to control its size.
