The rosy-red blooms are large and vibrant with multiple flowers opening at first flush. The plant is 14-16 inches high and has an upright, well-branched habit. Americana® is one of the country’s #1 zonal geranium series due to its first-class performance. Zonal refers to the band of darker color near the perimeter of each leaf.

This beauty is heat and drought tolerant. It is native to South Africa where more than 250 wild species grow. It has an upright well-branched habit. A versatile plant that works well in containers, it is especially suited to a 2.5-quart pot. You can grow it in hanging baskets, window boxes, as well as in landscape borders.

Americana® Cherry Rose Zonal Geranium Care

Geraniums are low maintenance annuals. They do not require a lot of nutrients to grow satisfactorily and will not bloom well if over fertilized. Plant then in well-drained, fertile soil.

They require an average amount of water. Deadhead them regularly for best performance.

Americana® Cherry Rose Zonal Geranium Spacing

One plant in a 2.5-quart container is perfect. Space them 14-16 inches apart in the landscape.

    It transformed my garden.

Posted by Patty Stevens on Oct 20, 2021

I love this variety of geraniums! They stay at a medium height, so they work well in containers and hanging baskets. The color is stunning and it's really easy to keep up with deadheading since they never get too leggy. I've only planted two of these plants and they completely transformed my garden.
