The petite purple and white blooms of the Amethyst Dreams Container Garden deliver all season long. Feature these plants together in a hanging basket so the long trailing stems can be on full display, or plant them separately but group the containers together for a curated look.

Calibrachoa has trumpet-shaped flowers that continue to bloom during the spring, summer, and fall. The Superbells® White boasts white blooms with yellow throats, while the Superbells® Grape Punch™ has purple blooms that transition to a dark purple shade near the throat before turning to a yellow hue. The bicolor flowers of the Superbena Sparkling® Amethyst grow in clusters with amethyst petals along the outer edge and dark purple petals on the inside of the cluster. All of these beauties are mounding, trailing plants that can handle the heat of the summer, and they attract pollinators.

Amethyst Dreams Container Garden Combo Care

These plants can be featured together in a 10-inch container or used as fillers in other plantings. Place the plants in part to full sun. Ideally, the plants need at least 4 to 6 hours of sunlight to thrive. Water when the top few inches of the soil dries out and use slightly acidic, well-draining soil.

Feed the plants using a balanced, water-soluble fertilizer every 2 to 4 weeks from spring through fall. Pinch back spent flowers. Routinely trim the plants to maintain a more compact look and promote more flowers.

Amethyst Dreams Container Garden Combo Ideas

All of these plants thrive in containers because they prefer mostly dry soil. Grow the plants in a hanging basket or window box so the branches can cascade. Verbena can also be featured in landscapes or mass plantings.
