Lantana is a colorful, easy care addition to your garden. This large flowered beauty starts off as a bright yellow and fades to a lovely creamy yellow and blooms from planting, right up until frost. Bandana Lemon Zest can be used as both a mounded filler or as a slightly cascading addition to your mixed planters. As an added bonus, the oval, deeply veined, green foliage is faintly fragrant.
This medium height Lantana adds color to your landscape and mixed borders. It can also be used in combination planters and hanging baskets. Bandana Lemon zest attracts butterflies and other pollinators to your yard. This South American beauty is both drought and heat tolerant making it a popular addition to both commercial and home plantings.
Bandana® Lemon Zest Lantana Care
Plant Lantana Bandana Lemon Zest in full sun (6+ hours daily) for best performance. Use an all-purpose, slow release fertilizer when planting in containers and landscape. No further fertilizer is needed in a landscape setting, but feed with a water-soluble flowering plant food every three to four weeks when planted in baskets or containers.
Whether you are planting this Lantana in the landscape or in containers, make sure the soil has good drainage and is friable. Let the soil dry slightly between watering. While this Lantana is fairly pest free, watch for white fly. Deadheading is not necessary, but can be done to tidy the appearance and to remove seed pods.
Bandana® Lemon Zest Lantana Spacing
Lantana Bandana Lemon Zest reaches a height of 12-26 inches tall and has a spread of 12-24 inches. For best results space plants 12-24 inches apart when planting in beds. Using one Lantana Bandana plant in a 12 inch mixed planter will result in a full, beautiful container.
