Belleconia™ Mango Tuberous Begonia (Begonia semperflorens) brightens shaded spaces with abundant mango-colored double flowers cascading over lush, moss-green foliage. Each 3-4 inch bloom resembles the rich hues of a ripe mango, with golden yellow petals accented by soft orange highlights. Its trailing habit reaches up to 24 inches, making it an exceptional choice for hanging baskets and container arrangements. Compact at 8–14 inches in height, this begonia adds a dramatic yet refined touch to patios, entryways, and shaded gardens.

Beyond its striking appearance, Belleconia™ Mango Begonia boasts a low-maintenance nature. It thrives in part to full shade, tolerates humid conditions, and is resistant to deer. Originating from hybrid tuberous varieties, this annual performs beautifully in outdoor containers and hanging displays, offering continuous blooms from mid-spring through early fall. Its dense, trailing growth habit also makes it a perfect "spiller" in mixed container arrangements or a standout centerpiece in standalone pots.

Belleconia™ Mango Tuberous Begonia Care

Plant this begonia in well-draining, moderately fertile soil with consistent moisture to maintain healthy growth. Avoid soggy conditions by using pots with adequate drainage holes. Partial to full shade is ideal, with protection from harsh midday sun. To encourage robust blooms, apply a balanced, water-soluble fertilizer every one to two weeks during the growing season. Consider adding a light layer of mulch to help retain moisture without overwatering.

Allow the top inch of soil to dry slightly between waterings, but do not let the plant completely dry out. For optimal growth, maintain a slightly acidic to neutral soil pH (6.0 to 7.0).

Prune by removing spent flowers and yellowing leaves to promote continued blooming and a tidy appearance. At the end of the season, if overwintering indoors, trim back the plant and place it in a cool, dry spot. In spring, resume watering and feeding when new growth appears.

Belleconia™ Mango Tuberous Begonia Spacing

Space plants 8–14 inches apart in containers or garden beds to allow each plant to develop a full form. When using hanging baskets or decorative pots, choose containers that are at least 12 inches wide to accommodate the trailing growth habit. For mixed planters, place the begonia along the edges to allow its cascading stems to drape beautifully over the sides.
