The Belleconia™ Salmon Begonia dazzles with cascading double salmon-coral blooms that drape elegantly over rich green foliage. Each flower measures 3-4 inches across, creating a stunning waterfall effect in hanging baskets and containers. This trailing beauty reaches up to 24 inches in length and stands 8-12 inches tall, adding bright color from late spring through early fall. Its distinctive blooms and lush foliage make it a standout in shaded patios, porches, and window boxes.

This tuberous begonia thrives in humid environments and shaded spaces. Its heart-shaped leaves, with subtle hints of red variegation, add texture and depth to your planting arrangements. Deer-resistant and low-maintenance, Belleconia™ Salmon Begonia is perfect for container gardens, mass plantings, and as a spiller in mixed containers. Its tolerance for partial to full shade makes it versatile for brightening darker spots in the landscape.

Belleconia™ Salmon Begonia Care

Plant in well-drained, nutrient-rich soil that retains moisture but doesn’t become waterlogged. This begonia performs best in part to full shade, receiving no more than four hours of direct sunlight daily. Keep the soil evenly moist, but avoid standing water. A weekly application of water-soluble fertilizer throughout the growing season helps maintain its prolific flowering. Mulching around the root zone can help conserve soil moisture, especially during hot summer months.

Deadheading isn’t necessary for this prolific bloomer, but removing faded or damaged blooms can keep the plant looking fresh. For continued health in containers, monitor moisture levels closely, as pots dry out faster than garden beds. In regions with frost, treat this plant as an annual or bring containers indoors for overwintering.

Belleconia™ Salmon Begonia Spacing

Allow 8-12 inches between plants when used in mass plantings or borders to maintain airflow and prevent overcrowding. For containers or hanging baskets, choose a pot at least 12 inches wide to give the plant room to spread. As a spiller in container combinations, it adds dramatic trailing foliage to complement taller centerpiece plants.
