- Re-blooming strawberry plants!
Dainty white flowers, sweet fruit and trailing runners are just three reasons why you’ll love having some Berried Treasure® strawberries in your garden. As if that wasn’t enough, bees love the flowers, which continue blooming from planting until the first frost. What’s not to love about having bright white flowers and sweet, juicy strawberries to enjoy all season long? You’ll want to stock up on these to ensure friends and family all get to enjoy the fruit of your labor (you don’t have to tell them that they were a cinch to grow).
An over performer, Berried Treasure® White Strawberry blooms and produces fruit all season long. So you always have something beautiful to look at as well as something yummy to eat. Plant your Berried Treasure® in your vegetable garden to add a sweet treat to your harvest. Or use it in combination container planters to show off the white flowers and red fruit as a “filler” plant. The mounded growing habit produces trailing runners over time, which adds a “spiller” element to containers, as well.
Berried Treasure® White Strawberry Care
In order to get the best blooms and the best harvest out of your Berried Treasure® White Strawberry plant, keep the soil evenly moist. Plant them in full sun for best results. A regular, balanced fertilizer program will keep the berries coming. Try an organic fertilizer for wholesome, organic berries!
No deadheading is necessary, but spent flowers may need to be cleaned up from time to time. If the trailing runners are not to your liking, simply trim them back when they get too long.
Berried Treasure® White Strawberry Spacing
Your Berried Treasure® strawberry plants can spread up to 2 feet wide, but you won’t need to space them that far apart because some of that width will be thin, trailing runners. Plant your strawberries up to a foot apart in the garden. Strawberries planted in containers can be planted as close as 6” or as far apart as 8” for best results.
