Plant Addicts Warranty - 1 Year (Extra Purchase Required)

We encourage all plant lovers to purchase the Plant Addicts Warranty, whether you're a new gardener or an expert. There are many variables outside of anyone's control that can cause a plant to die. Hungry animals, drought, poor soil conditions, over watering, diseases & pests are all good examples of what can cause plants to die. The Plant Addicts Warranty is a 1 year warranty protecting you from all of the unknowns and will replace your plant if something were to happen to it.

The warranty is purchased on a per plant basis and must be purchased at the same time as the plant(s). We will cover 100% of the price of the plant, but the warranty does not cover shipping costs. SImply let us know if your plant has died within 1 year of receiving it and we will get you a new one shipped out as soon as possible (depending on the time of the year and availability). We may ask for photos for documentation purposes, but we try to make the process as easy as possible.

Guarantee and Warranty

Plant Shipping

Below are some factors we consider when determining when to ship the plants depending on the timing of the order.

Winter to Early Spring

We ship only when it's warm enough to plant in your growing zone.
Sometimes plants aren't completely ready to sell and ship in early spring. We will wait until the plants are ready before shipping so you don't get a subpar product.
For Southern plants we will be able to ship much earlier than plants coming from our northern nursery.

Summer

If there is extreme heat we may delay shipping for a week or several weeks.
We review what areas the plants are traveling through as well as your location.

Fall into Winter

We’ll ship plants out all the way up to the end of the fall planting season!

Winter

Get your order in early to reserve your plants for Spring planting!

Once your plant is shipped you’ll receive an automated email with tracking information.

Plants Included In Bombshell Annual Combination

Create an explosion of color with this beautiful combination of hybrid calibrachoas and petunia annuals in your spring hanging basket or patio container. Vibrant yellows, dainty pinks with yellow centers and a regal dark velvety smooth purple combine to knock your socks off all season long, and will last until the first hard frost. With their low mounding, spreading habit, these calibrachoa and petunia varieties will quickly fill your basket and overflow, spilling hundreds of bright blooms and soft green foliage attractively.

Calibrachoa and petunia are two distinctly separate species of perennials in the nightshade family. They are native to South America where they grow in hot, arid grasslands. They are grown as annuals in cold winter climates. Unlike their parent plants, these improved hybrids are heat tolerant and typically do not go to seed, blooming straight through the hottest months of summer for a full season of color. Since they are both from the same plant family, care and maintenance of these lovely annuals is similar, making this an easy care planter.

Bombshell Annual Combination Care

Providing loose, fast draining soil, rich in organic compost material is a must to allow these plants to be at their best as neither of them tolerate a heavy soggy soil. Add a controlled release fertilizer to the soil when planting your container, and follow up with periodic applications of a water soluble fertilizer, preferably a 24-12-7, to keep foliage lush and green. If you experience yellowing in the calibrachoa, it could be that the soil pH is off and the plants are unable to take up the nutrients properly. A simple application of chelated iron will solve this problem quickly.

When planting the 4 ¼ inch pot size plants, a 12 inch planter or hanging basket is suggested. Larger pot size plants will require a larger planter, so plan accordingly. Space your plants up to 12 inches apart with the Royal Purple Supertunia in the center and the Calibrachoas on opposing sides (see diagram). These annuals will grow quickly, and can trail up to 24 to 30 inches. Once they have reached a length that will allow it, interweave the different color blooms to achieve the ‘all over’ look if desired. Deadheading is not necessary, but both species will benefit from a mid season shearing to refresh the overall look of your planter and promote a fresh batch of flowers.

Bombshell Annual Combination Ideas

Most gardeners find that growing calibrachoa and petunias is easiest in containers to help them control the soil moisture which is so crucial to the health of these plants. Planting them in masses of color in your landscape, however, can create an impressive display if you can provide a well draining soil. Consider using raised beds to allow you to enjoy this lovely combination of annuals in your garden bed or border. Plant in full sun with some light afternoon shade for best results.
