The Bonfire Patio Peach Tree turns small spaces into a showpiece. Spring brings a flush of pink blossoms, then the foliage shifts to deep red for a dramatic, long-season accent on porches, balconies, and entryways. Compact size means big color without crowding your layout.
This ornamental dwarf also sets small, edible peaches in late summer. It’s self-fruitful, happy in containers, and easy to shape. Grow one as a focal point or repeat along a patio for a modern, high-impact look.
Bonfire Patio Peach Tree Care
Give this tree 6–8 hours of direct sun daily. Plant in well-drained soil with a slightly acidic to neutral pH (around 6.0–7.0); in containers, use a high-quality potting mix labeled for trees/shrubs. Water when the top 1–2 inches are dry; in summer heat, containers may need watering 2–3 times per week.
Mulch 2–3 inches deep, keeping mulch a few inches away from the trunk. Feed in early spring with a balanced slow-release fertilizer (e.g., 8-8-8 or 10-10-10) and, if needed, a light midsummer boost.
Prune in late winter to maintain an open center and remove crossing or congested wood; lightly tip-prune after bloom for shape. Hardy in Zones 5–9; protect early flowers from late frosts. For cold climates, group pots in a sheltered spot or wrap containers to insulate roots.
Bonfire Patio Peach Tree Spacing
As a specimen, allow 4–5 feet of width and keep at least 2–3 feet from walls or paths. For a short row or screen, plant 3–4 feet on center.
In containers, choose a pot 16–24 inches wide and 14–18 inches deep with drainage; upgrade one pot size as the plant matures. Position containers 2–3 feet from railings or furniture to showcase the foliage and allow airflow. Stake young plants if windy; remove after the trunk stiffens.
