The award-winning Osteospermum Bright Lights Berry Rose fills hot summers with cool, bright pink daisy flowers. The annual, which tolerates summer heat well, blooms all season, from planting until a hard frost. The pink flowers and green leaves contrast well with other container or garden bed plants. Plant several of these rebloomers to form a border along beds or sidewalks or fill the front of a bed with a sea of pink daisies about a foot above the ground.

Berry Rose grows in a mounded form that really holds up and displays the large daisy flowers. Use several of these osteospermums to fill a container or throughout the landscape for continuous summer color. There is no need to deadhead the flowers, so this is an easy-care and color-filled annual.

Bright Lights Berry Rose African Daisy Care

Give your new osteospermum at least 4 to 6 hours of sun and soil that drains well for best performance. The plants do not like to sit in moist soil, so water as needed when the top of the soil feels dry. Although container-grown plants need more water than those in the ground, they also need to dry out slightly between waterings.

In a good potting mix or garden beds with com[post additions, your Osteospermum Bright Lights Berry Rose should need little fertilizing. But yearly additions of compost to the beds and regular fertilizing of container-grown plants will improve health and flowering.

Bright Lights Berry Rose African Daisy Spacing

For mass plantings of bright pink flowers, place your osteospermum plants about 6 to 10 inches apart to give them some room to grow. They can be a little more crowded in containers, and if used as filler, place them before plants that reach higher than a foot tall for best effect.
