- Use As A Thriller In Containers
The bi-color blooms of the Cajun™ Bienvenue Tropical Hibiscus are reminiscent of a sunset and will make your outdoor space feel welcoming and inviting. The bold flowers measure 6 inches across and have deep pink centers that gradually fade to salmon before turning a bright yellowish-orange along the ruffled edges. The showy flowers pop against glossy dark green leaves. This tropical Hibiscus continuously blooms all season long for a beautiful display.
Expect this fast-growing plant to reach 2 to 4 feet tall, although it may stay towards the lower end of the height range when grown in northern areas. Use this prolific bloomer to line a border or use it as a focal point in a landscape. Grow in a container to add style and vibrant color to a porch or patio. Pollinators, like bees and butterflies, are drawn to the large flowers.
Cajun™ Bienvenue Tropical Hibiscus Care
Tropical Hibiscus need water when the top layer of the soil starts to dry out. While this plant likes damp conditions, proper drainage is essential to prevent root rot. Use rich soil with a slightly acidic pH. Place in an area that receives full to partial sun. Promote new growth and plenty of flowers by feeding this Hibiscus once a week using a balanced, water-soluble fertilizer.
The Cajun™ Bienvenue Tropical Hibiscus can live all year outdoors in very warm areas, but this plant is an annual in most regions. Bring the plant indoors for the winter, but be aware that Hibiscus can be picky about their care when grown as a houseplant. The plant requires bright light and increased humidity.
Cajun™ Bienvenue Tropical Hibiscus Spacing
This plant will grow 3 feet wide and 2 to 4 feet tall. Create a border or lush row of plants by spacing multiple Hibiscus 3 feet apart, measuring from the center of each plant. Grow the Cajun™ Bienvenue Tropical Hibiscus in a large container measuring at least 10 inches.
