Plant Addicts Warranty - 1 Year (Extra Purchase Required)

We encourage all plant lovers to purchase the Plant Addicts Warranty whether you’re new or an expert. There are many variables outside our control and yours that can cause the demise of your plant(s). Examples would be hungry animals, drought, poor soil conditions, over watering, disease, insects & many other factors. The Plant Addicts Warranty is a 1 year warranty protecting you from all the unknowns and will replace your plant if it moves on to the plant afterlife.

The warranty is purchased on a per plant basis and must be purchased at the same time as the plant purchase. We will cover 100% of the price of the plant but the warranty does not cover shipping cost. Simply let us know if your plant has died within one year of receiving it and we’ll get you a new one shipped out. We may ask for photos for documentation purposes but again we’ll try to make it as easy as possible.

Plants Included In Chasing Rainbows Annual Combination

Masses of cheery bright yellow, cool white stripes and deep purple crowd the lush green foliage in this vibrant combination of annuals for your container garden this spring. Use in a partial sunlight to full sun patio or porch for a beautiful, cascading visual appeal and get compliments from your friends and neighbors all season long. Like the song says ‘Brighten the corner where you are’!

Calibrachoa lend their cheerful color filled blooms to complement the unique color and shape of the torenia wishbone flower. Look closely and you will see that the stamens of the torenia arch together in the middle of the flower making a wishbone shape. Wishbones and rainbows, a match made in heaven! You will not regret adding this colorful combination to your garden this year.

Chasing Rainbows Annual Combination Care

Since torenia can thrive in full sun or shade, they will easily adapt to the growing conditions that make calibrachoa the super star of the annual garden that it is. They will require a good amount of water throughout the season, so planting them in the fast draining soil that calibrachoa must have will allow you to water regularly without harming either plant. Top dress the soil with a rich compost to help it retain the moisture that torenia craves.

Both annuals will appreciate some light afternoon shade in the hottest sun regions. Use a controlled release fertilizer in the soil when first planting and apply a water soluble fertilizer every couple of weeks during the growing season to encourage lush growth and loads of flowers. Shear plants up to ⅓ of their volume in mid season to encourage more compact growth and additional flower production.

Chasing Rainbows Annual Combination Ideas

When choosing the 4 ¼ inch plants, you have the option to plant five of them in a 12 inch container, using Superbells Grape Punch in the center and the other two plants on opposing sides of the circle, spacing up to 12 inches apart. For a fuller, more professional appearance, use all six plants, choosing between the 4 ¼ inch or the 8 inch pot, and go up one or two sizes for your planter, using at least a 14 inch diameter, and plant around the edge of the circle, placing similar plants on opposite sides (see diagram). Once the plants get taller, interweave the stems for a variegated ‘all over’ look for best presentation.

If you have larger patio containers and would like to add some additional upright interest to your rainbow of color, consider purchasing Angelface White Summer Snapdragon Angelonia angustifolia. Use at least a 16 inch planter and place Angelface in the center with the other annuals radiating around the edges. Angelonia will grow up to 24 inches tall providing a wonderful contrast to the mounding trailing annuals that surround it.
