Mature Height

Mature Spread
For some serious summer firepower, check out the Cherrybells Cuphea. Small, yet powerful, the Cherrybells Cuphea produces a mass of cigar-shaped cherry red blooms with a purple tip from early summer until the fall. A mature height of 12 inches makes it perfect for summer containers and baskets.
The Cherrybells Cuphea develops a multi-branching structure and a spreading or trailing habit. A tender plant, it is most commonly grown as an annual but can be grown as a perennial in zones 10 and 11. Cherrybells Cuphea is adored by pollinators, especially bees and hummingbirds, and is ideal for a container arrangement or the front or a border.
Cherrybells Cuphea Care
The Cherrybells Cuphea is happy in both full sun and partial shade. It prefers fertile soil that is well-drained, yet moist. Water frequently until established and from then on to keep the soil moist but not overly wet. After the first flowers appear, fertilize with a liquid feed to encourage reblooming. No deadheading is required.
Cherrybells Cuphea is generally grown as an annual. However, it can be overwintered outdoors in zones 10 and 11. Alternatively, bring the plant indoors before the first frost of the fall.
Cherrybells Cuphea Spacing
The Cherrybells Cuphea grows to around 10 to 12 inches high and 14 to 20 inches wide. Space multiple plants 10 to 14 inches apart depending on the desired effect when mature.
