Bring a little motion to your mix. ColorGrass Twister stands out with tight, spiraling blades that curl and swoop, adding playful texture and a modern, architectural vibe to beds and pots. Compact and tidy, it delivers interest without taking over small spaces.

Use a single clump as a sculptural accent or repeat along a border for rhythm and flow. Its evergreen to semi-evergreen habit in mild climates means you get structure through the cooler months, with fresh new curls each spring.

ColorGrass Twister Care

Give 4–8 hours of sun daily; full sun builds the strongest curls, while afternoon shade helps in hotter inland climates. Plant in well-drained but moisture-retentive soil enriched with compost; target pH 6.0–7.5. Water regularly to establish, then keep evenly moist during heat; avoid letting soil bone-dry for extended periods.

Mulch 1–2 inches to moderate moisture and temperature, keeping mulch off the crown. Feed lightly in early spring with a balanced, slow-release fertilizer or a thin compost top-dress. Groom by removing any winter-tired blades in late winter to early spring. Hardy in USDA zones 5–9; in colder zones, grow in containers and overwinter in a protected, frost-free spot.

ColorGrass Twister Spacing

For a single specimen, allow a 14–18 inch circle to showcase the curls. For a ribbon or mass, plant 12–16 inches on center so clumps knit without crowding. Keep 12 inches from paths and walls for leaf arch and airflow. In containers, choose a 10–12 inch wide pot at least 10 inches deep with drainage; place in full sun to bright light and rotate monthly for even form.

Why Grow ColorGrass Twister?

  • Whimsical, spiraling blades that add instant movement and texture
  • Compact habit sized right for borders, rock gardens, and patio pots
  • Year-round structure in mild climates; fresh new growth each spring
  • Easy care with light feeding and simple seasonal grooming
