This plant is a native of tropical areas of India, Southeast Asia and New Guinea.

This versatile little plant can technically be placed anywhere in an aquarium and thrive. However, it prefers a stable environment, such as when planted in a cluster in the bottom of a tank. Moving it frequently will likely cause stress. This plant prefers a pH range of 6 to 7.5, and water temperatures from 63 and 83 degrees Fahrenheit. It enjoys slow-moving freshwater. It’s a relatively slow grower that can be pruned for shape and size.
