MINI-CUBI and MAXI-CUBI include a transparent removable planting liner that makes it easier to check root growth, trim roots, and repot plants. The liner lifts out of the decorative outer container for convenient maintenance.
How the Self-Watering System Works
Both models include a wick irrigation system that transfers moisture from the reservoir into the LECHUZA-PON mineral growing medium. Unlike many larger LECHUZA planters, these include enough PON for complete planting.
- Prepare the Planter: Assemble the included wick irrigation components according to the instructions.
- Add Your Plant: Place a small houseplant in the transparent liner and fill around its roots with the supplied LECHUZA-PON substrate.
- Establish the Roots: Water gently from above initially while your plant adjusts to its new growing medium.
- Fill the Reservoir: Add water following the manufacturer's directions and check the water level indicator.
- Monitor and Refill: Refill as needed, allowing appropriate drying intervals for your plant.
Indoor Use Only: These planters do not have an outdoor drainage plug. Avoid overfilling the reservoir, and adjust watering to your plant's needs.
