North to south, east to west, Diamond Snow® dazzles in nearly any garden. A tough plant with delicate blooms, Diamond Snow® Euphorbia is covered in clouds of frothy white flowers all season long. The hardy plant is heat and drought tolerant, and dazzles in landscapes and containers alike. This showy beauty needs very little looking after, and performs well in nearly any conditions. Diamond Snow® prefers sunny or partially sunny locations, but will do just fine in a shady area of the garden.
The lacy white flowers that dot Diamond Snow® are the perfect addition to combination container plantings. They make a brilliant “filler” plant in containers and look great with colorful counterparts and foliage plants alike. Keep in mind that the latex-like sap of Euphorbias can irritate skin, but most people don’t have an issue with Diamond Snow®. Wear gloves if you trim the plant just to be safe.
Diamond Snow® Euphorbia Care
Diamond Snow® needs practically no supplemental water or fertilizer when planted in the ground, but an annual compost topdressing and occasional watering will help it thrive. If planted in a container, water when the top 1-2” of soil are dry and avoid overwatering. Fertilize containers occasionally to support blooms and growth. No deadheading is necessary for continued bloom.
Diamond Snow® can be overwintered as a houseplant in the right conditions. Place in a sunny location with mostly indirect light. Do no overwater or allow the soil to become soggy. Some shedding of flowers and leaves might occur when the plant is living indoors. Avoid placing in locations where pets or children will be tempted to play with it, as the sap can irritate skin.
Diamond Snow® Euphorbia Spacing
This hard-as-nails plant will happily grow up to 18” wide and 18” high in ideal conditions. Give it 10-12” space when planting in the ground. Give the plant up 6” of space when planting in a container.
