Begonia hybrids bring a lush, old fashion look to a container arrangement. If you’re looking for a little romance, Double Delight Blush Rose begonia’s color and double flowers fit the bill. New on the market in 2021, this lovely begonia is perfect for hanging baskets and other containers. Place the pot where you can enjoy the double pink flowers and fragrance of this summer-blooming annual. Double Delight Blush Rose’s size ranges from 8 to 14 inches tall with a spread of up to 16 inches.
Double Delight Blush Rose has a mounded, slightly trailing habit that’s perfect for a hanging basket or as a filler-spiller in a container on the deck, patio, balcony or front stoop. This begonia’s fragrance also would be enjoyable in a window box at an open window. When grown in shade, Double Delight Blush Rose’s flowers may soften in color and leaves darken.
Double Delight Blush Rose Begonia Care
Grow in sun (6+ hours) to part sun. Key to this plant’s success is consistent soil moisture—not sopping wet, but moist with decent drainage. Too much water and the plant may rot. Double Delight Blush Rose does not need deadheading (removing spent flowers). Fertilize according to product label directions for plants in a container.
Begonia Double Delight Blush Rose does not tolerate cold temperatures. However, the corms can be dug, dried and stored for winter and replanted next year. Or the begonia can be brought indoors for the winter. Give it direct, bright natural light, such as a window with Eastern exposure.
Double Delight Blush Rose Begonia Spacing
In an average 10- or 12-inch hanging basket or pot, plant two, better yet, three of the begonias for a full, lush pot. Or mix it with other annuals for summer enjoyment.
