The sunny yellow flowers of the Double Zahara™ Yellow Zinnia are impressive and sensational. The double blooms measure a staggering 2.5 inches wide. The rows of overlapping petals give the blooms a full and decadent appearance. The Zinnia marylandica 'Double Zahara Yellow' blooms throughout the summer and boasts dark green foliage for a full form.
Feature zinnias in mixed beds, borders, mass plantings, or containers. Cut stems to include the blooms in fresh or dried arrangements. The Double Zahara™ Yellow Zinnia is adaptable and grows well in heat and humidity. You won’t be the only one obsessed with these blooms because pollinators like bees and hummingbirds are also drawn to them. Foragers like deer and rabbits leave zinnias alone.
Double Zahara™ Yellow Zinnia Care
Choose a planting location that receives full sun. Zinnias prefer moist and well-drained soil that is neutral to slightly acidic. The Double Zahara™ Yellow Zinnia grows best in consistently damp soil. Spread a thick layer of organic mulch to retain soil moisture and cut down on weeds. Fertilize monthly with a balanced formula to support new growth.
Remove spent flowers just above the nearest set of leaves to encourage more flowers while maintaining a tidy appearance. Trim leggy growth around midsummer to create a full, bushy form.
Double Zahara™ Yellow Zinnia Spacing
The Double Zahara™ Yellow Zinnia plant reaches 16 to 20 inches tall and wide. Space plants 16 to 20 inches apart to create a full planting.
