Attractive variegation and a laid-back attitude make the Eliptica Hoya an intriguing houseplant. Its elliptical leaves have a glossy finish, measuring up to 1 inch wide and 3 inches long. The medium green leaves are accented by white along the veining and feature a surprisingly dark green underside. The unique leaf pattern has earned it the common name Turtle Shell Hoya. This lovely Hoya blooms with clusters of white flowers that have pink centers.

Eliptica Hoya Sunlight Requirements
Position the Eliptica Hoya near a sunny window where it can receive bright, indirect sunlight. Plenty of sunlight promotes new leaf growth and encourages the vines to reach out. Avoid direct sunlight, as it can damage the foliage.
Eliptica Hoya Care
Proper care for the Eliptica Hoya hinges on the right location and a good watering routine. Repot this hoya every few years, but avoid doing so too soon; the plant only blooms when slightly rootbound. Always use a pot with drainage and a potting mix that allows excess water to escape. Remove spent flowers, but do not cut the main stem that supports them. The Eliptica Hoya will bloom again from the same spot, so retaining the stem ensures future bloom cycles.
Watering Eliptica Hoya
Water the Eliptica Hoya only after the top few inches of soil have dried out. Hoyas prefer the soil to dry out mostly, so be sure to check the soil before watering. Remove any excess water from the cover pot to protect the roots from overly wet conditions. Average to above-average humidity is ideal, as Hoyas thrive in damp air, and increased moisture encourages growth.
Feeding Eliptica Hoya
Support new growth and blooming by applying a balanced, water-soluble fertilizer. Feed the plant every four weeks during the spring and summer. Allow the plant to rest from fertilizing in the fall and winter when growth naturally slows.

We encourage all plant lovers to purchase the Plant Addicts Warranty, whether you're a new gardener or an expert. There are many variables outside of anyone's control that can cause a plant to die. Hungry animals, drought, poor soil conditions, over watering, diseases & pests are all good examples of what can cause plants to die. The Plant Addicts Warranty is a 1 year warranty protecting you from all of the unknowns and will replace your plant if something were to happen to it.
The warranty is purchased on a per plant basis and must be purchased at the same time as the plant(s). We will cover 100% of the price of the plant, but the warranty does not cover shipping costs. SImply let us know if your plant has died within 1 year of receiving it and we will get you a new one shipped out as soon as possible (depending on the time of the year and availability). We may ask for photos for documentation purposes, but we try to make the process as easy as possible.

Below are some factors we consider when determining when to ship the plants depending on the timing of the order.
Winter to Early Spring
We ship only when it's warm enough to plant in your growing zone.
Sometimes plants aren't completely ready to sell and ship in early spring. We will wait until the plants are ready before shipping so you don't get a subpar product.
For Southern plants we will be able to ship much earlier than plants coming from our northern nursery.
Summer
If there is extreme heat we may delay shipping for a week or several weeks.
We review what areas the plants are traveling through as well as your location.
Fall into Winter
We’ll ship plants out all the way up to the end of the fall planting season!
