Growing Zones
Ever After Pink Azalea (Rhododendron ‘Ever After™ Pink’) produces clusters of rich pink, semi-double blooms that continue from spring through fall. These brilliant flowers draw hummingbirds and butterflies, enlivening any garden or patio setting. This compact shrub stays around 2 to 3 feet tall and 3 to 4 feet wide, making it ideal for smaller yards or container plantings. Heat tolerance and long-lasting color set it apart from more traditional azaleas, giving you months of floral appeal.
Additional features include semi-evergreen foliage that retains a pleasing green shade most of the year. Ever After Pink Azalea is drought and salt tolerance and adaptable to diverse climates. Plant it in well-drained, slightly acidic soil and full to part sun for sustained healthy growth. Use it in foundation beds, mixed borders, or mass plantings to create a unified display of color.
Ever After Pink Azalea Care
Plant this shrub in a spot where it can receive at least three hours of daily sun, although it tolerates partial shade well. Aim for mildly acidic, well-drained soil, and consider adding organic matter or peat moss to boost drainage if your soil is heavy. Water routinely to maintain even soil moisture, avoiding oversaturated conditions to prevent root rot. A slow-release, acid-specific fertilizer in spring promotes lush growth and repeat blooms. Mulching the root zone helps keep roots cooler and minimize weed competition.
Prune after the main flush of flowers to remove spent blooms and tidy the form. Light pinching or thinning may improve airflow and reduce potential fungal issues, especially in humid regions. Container-grown should be repotted every few years to refresh the soil and increase root space. In colder climates, mulch around the base during winter for extra protection.
Ever After Pink Azalea Spacing
Plant each shrub about three feet apart if forming a hedge or row, allowing room for the mature spread of 3 to 4 feet. For a looser arrangement or mixed beds, keep at least 3.5 feet between individual azaleas. If growing in containers, choose a pot a few inches wider than the root ball, providing space for the shrub to develop its dense shape. Adjust spacing and container size based on preferred aesthetics and the number of plants used.
