Best Locations For Growing Fuchsii Air Plant
This plant can go anywhere in your home that gets bright, filtered or indirect light. It is perfect for the bathroom, living room, kitchen or bedroom! These plants are not toxic, so they’re safe to keep around pets and children.
Fuchsii Air Plant Sunlight Requirements
The Fuchsii air plant can grow in bright, indirect light. Place it in a location that gets 4-6 hours of natural light per day. This plant will thrive near an east-facing window that receives morning sun and afternoon shade. You can also place it a few feet away from a south-facing window, but be careful that the plant does not receive direct sunlight, as that can scorch the leaves. You can add a sheer curtain to your south-facing window to diffuse the sunlight.
Fuchsii Air Plant Care
The Fuchsii air plant is easy to take care of, as long as you provide the correct type and amount of sunlight and proper watering. No pot or soil is needed.
Watering Fuchsii Air Plant
Air plants require no soil. To water, simply soak the plant for up to 30 minutes once a week. Hang your air plant upside down to fully dry before returning it to the container. If you live in a drier environment, you may opt to soak your air plant a bit longer or more frequently. You can also spritz your air plant with water during the week. If using tap water, allow it to sit for 24 hours to let chlorine evaporate.
Feeding Fuchsii Plant
To fertilize your Fuchsii air plant, use an air plant-specific or bromeliad fertilizer a few times a year. You can also use a regular, water-soluble houseplant fertilizer at 1/4 of the recommended strength. You can add the fertilizer to the water you use to soak or mist your plant.
