Global Green Pothos is a fast-growing, easy-to-maintain plant. Its botanical name is Epipremnum aureum, but it is also known by several common names, including Global Green Pothos, Devil's Ivy, Hunter's Robe, and Ivy Arum. The heart-shaped leaves are dark green with splashes of light green in the center. The variegation is typically centered on each leaf but varies in shape and size. As a prolific vining plant, it often reaches lengths of about 10 feet when grown indoors.
Best Locations For Growing Global Green Pothos
The Global Green Pothos is adaptable and can thrive in most areas of the home, provided it receives adequate sunlight. Increased humidity is ideal, so consider placing your Pothos in a steamy bathroom. This vining plant looks stunning in a hanging basket or on a high shelf. However, be aware that all Pothos varieties are toxic to humans and animals, so exercise caution if you have young children or pets.
Global Green Pothos Sunlight Requirements
Choose a sunny location for your Global Green Pothos. A spot close to a south-facing window is often ideal. Pothos need bright, indirect sunlight to grow and produce new leaves. Ample sunlight promotes variegation and enhances the contrast in green hues. While plants can survive in medium or low light, they may not grow as large and can develop straggly or bare stems.
Global Green Pothos Care
Prune leggy or straggly vines and root them in water to create new plants. The new plants can be potted with the original plant to achieve a fuller appearance. Repot your Global Green Pothos every one to two years, or as needed. The plant is ready to be repotted when the roots grow through the pot’s drainage holes. Choose a new pot that is one to two inches larger, and use a fresh potting mix that is rich and moist yet well-drained.
Watering Global Green Pothos
Water your Global Green Pothos when the top few inches of potting soil are dry. Pothos plants have medium water needs and should be watered on a regular, weekly schedule. Saturate the soil when watering and remove any excess water from the tray or cover pot.
Pothos prefers average to above-average humidity, thriving in environments with increased moisture in the air. Low humidity can be harmful and may cause the leaves to dry along the edges.
Feeding Global Green Pothos
Fertilize your Global Green Pothos every two to three weeks during the active growing season. Avoid fertilizing when the plant is not actively growing in the fall and winter. You can use a balanced fertilizer or plant food with elevated nitrogen levels for Pothos. Increased nitrogen encourages leaf growth, resulting in a full and stunning plant.

Below are some factors we consider when determining when to ship the plants depending on the timing of the order.
Winter to Early Spring
We ship only when it's warm enough to plant in your growing zone.
