Use a 10-inch container to create a full group planting. Each plant can be used to fill in other planters or grown in an 8-inch pot. These plants need full sun, so find a spot with at least 4 hours of sunlight. Let the soil mostly dry out before giving them water. If the top few inches are dry to the touch, it is time to water. Rich soil with a slightly acidic pH will support continuous growth, but the soil should also promote drainage. 

Apply a balanced fertilizer every 2 to 4 weeks during the growing season. Remove spent flowers to keep the plants looking tidy. Routinely prune these annuals to promote more growth, or if the plants appear leggy, they can be cut back by no more than ⅓.
