Gumball Goody™ Rose turns sunny garden beds into a lively candy-colored display. Rosa x 'VLR12062' produces double flowers in blends of red, yellow, coral pink, and soft pink from late spring until frost. The rounded 2 to 3 foot habit keeps the plant neat without hiding neighboring perennials. We would place it near a walkway or patio edge where the changing flower color and light rose fragrance can be noticed up close.

This Bloomin’ Easy® landscape rose was bred for repeat flowering, strong cold hardiness, and good resistance to common rose diseases. Its medium green foliage creates a tidy backdrop for clusters of ruffled blooms that attract bees and butterflies. Gumball Goody™ Rose handles heat, periods of dry weather once established, and winter cold across a broad range of gardens. Use it as a low flowering hedge, a container rose, a front-of-border accent, or a mass planting where steady color is needed through summer.

Gumball Goody™ Rose Care

Plant Gumball Goody™ Rose in full sun with at least 6 hours of direct light each day for the best flowering. It grows well in average, moist, well-drained soil with a slightly acidic to neutral pH. Give each plant open airflow to help the foliage stay clean.

Water deeply when the top few inches of soil feel dry, soaking the root zone rather than sprinkling the leaves. Feed in early spring with a rose fertilizer or balanced slow-release fertilizer, then repeat during the growing season if growth and bloom begin to slow. This deciduous rose drops its leaves and rests in winter before sending out fresh growth in spring.

Prune in early spring once the worst cold has passed, removing dead canes and shortening the plant enough to refresh the rounded shape. Deadheading is not required for rebloom, but removing spent clusters can keep container plants and front beds looking cleaner. In colder zones, add mulch over the root zone after the ground cools, keeping it pulled back from the crown.

Gumball Goody™ Rose Spacing

Space Gumball Goody™ Rose 2 to 3 feet apart for borders, low hedges, or mass plantings. Use a 14- to 18-inch container with drainage for one plant, and choose a larger patio pot if combining it with lower companions. For sunny plantings, pair it with agastache, dianthus, bluebeard, or thyme where good drainage, open airflow, and pollinator value all fit together.
