This Caladium hortulanum has light green foliage that is almost. Bright green splotches near the margins and bright red along the midrib and veining make the foliage sing among a sea of green.

Include this variegated Caladium in a mixed bed or container for consistent and bold colors. Plant it in a border or near a walkway where the ornamental leaves can be admired. Create an impressive mass planting that is leafy, vibrant, and low maintenance. This beauty is heat tolerant, so it continues to look amazing even in the heat of summer. Caladium is deer resistant, so it is unlikely to fall victim to foraging animals.

The Heart to Heart® Flatter Me Caladium is versatile and can comfortably live in sun or shade. Give this leafy annual fertile, moist, well-drained soil that is slightly acidic. Keep the soil evenly moist but not dry or soggy. Apply a balanced fertilizer every few weeks.

Trim damaged or dead foliage as necessary. Remove all growth in the fall after the first frost. Thin growth, transplant into a container and grow this Caladium as a houseplant during the winter.
