Add a burst of color to a sunny spot on your deck or yard with the Hot Pink Little Lucky™ Lantana, also known as Lantana camara 'Flortanapi.' Petite flowers in shades of bright yellow and brilliant pink form clusters that almost have an ombre look. This plant continuously blooms throughout the summer and fall. The showy flowers are anchored by dark green, serrated foliage.
This variety is not prone to becoming leggy like other types of Lantana, making this beauty a great plant to feature in containers. Lantana can also look amazing used in borders, mass plantings, or landscapes. As a heat and humidity tolerant plant, Lantana will flourish in the south and is perfectly able to take on hot summer weather. This plant grows as a perennial in USDA zones 10 through 11, but it is deciduous and will lose its leaves during the winter.
Hot Pink Little Lucky™ Lantana Plant Care
The Hot Pink Little Lucky™ Lantana is a plant that likes to dry out, so wait until the soil is completely dry before watering it. Use well-draining soil to ensure the roots do not become soggy. The soil should also be rich and amended or top-dressed with compost to help support healthy growth during the warmer months. Lantana is not a heavy feeder but fertilize throughout the growing season to promote continuous growth and flowers.
Find an area that receives full sun, which means at least 6 hours of sunlight exposure. This sun-loving plant will not push out as many flowers if grown in lower levels of light. Prune as needed and remove spent blooms or overgrowth to maintain a clean appearance.
Hot Pink Little Lucky™ Lantana Plant Spacing
Space plants as close as 8 inches to create a full, mass planting, but spread them out to give each plant space to be admired. Mature Hot Pink Little Lucky™ Lantana plants will be 10 inches tall and 12 inches wide.
