New Guinea Infinity Blushing Lilac Impatiens, at 12 to 14 inches tall, is perfect for the container. In partial shade, the flowers are purple. In shade, the flowers may be closer to lavender and the leaves darker green.

This beauty blooms from planting to frost. It has a strong upright, mounded form with large, showy flowers, making it beautiful filler in a pot or window box. The growth habit also earns its place in landscape plantings. Butterflies seem to land regularly on the flowers.

Although recommended for shade to part shade, New Guinea Infinity Blushing Lilac Impatiens can be grown in sunnier spots, if well watered. If the plants get dry and wilt, water as soon as possible and they should come back fine. If the plants need to be shaped up, do so with sharp snips or scissors.
