Impatiens hawkeri bloom from planting, all summer, right up until frost. This medium-sized plant boasts great color above green foliage.

This versatile plant hails from its namesake–New Guinea. It can be used as a colorful mounded-filler in container plantings. In the landscape, Infinity Cherry Red can be used for mass plantings and in beds. New Guinea Impatiens can also be used as a single specimen hanging basket. These forgiving beauties will bounce back if you forget to water them.

Infinity® Cherry Red Impatiens Care

Plant Infinity Cherry Red in part-shade to full shade for best performance, they can tolerate more sun with additional watering. Use an all-purpose, slow release fertilizer when planting in containers and landscape. Feed with a water-soluble flowering plant food every two weeks when planted in baskets or containers.

Whether you are planting these Impatiens in the landscape or in containers, make sure the soil has good drainage and is friable. While these plants are fairly forgiving if allowed to dry out, they prefer lots of water. No deadheading is needed for these self-cleaning plants.

Infinity® Cherry Red Impatiens Spacing

Infinity Cherry Red reaches a height of 10-14 inches tall and has a spread of 6-12 inches. For best results space plants 6-8 inches apart when planting in beds. Using 4-5 of these New Guinea Impatiens plants in a 12 inch planter will result in a full, beautiful container.
