Lavinnova® Frost Pink (Lavandula stoechas 'IB 510-96') delivers a cheerful color display of bubblegum-pink flowers perched on handsome, silvery foliage. In our experience, its compact mound keeps a tidy shape at about 10 to 12 inches tall, making it a delight for smaller garden beds or patio pots. The eye-catching pink “flags” at each bloom’s tip add a whimsical element, while the fragrant leaves evoke the classic lavender aroma. This distinctive Spanish lavender variety also attracts essential pollinators, helping create a lively backyard haven.
Its silver foliage provides extra visual interest and resists deer browsing. Hardy in zones 6 through 9, Lavinnova® Frost Pink excels in rock gardens, front-of-border plantings, or as a striking accent in containers. Add it to sunny beds for a refreshing contrast among green-leaf companions. The global LAVINNOVA® program focuses on top-tier lavender lines, so you can count on reliable performance and refined beauty.
Lavinnova® Frost Pink Care
Place Lavinnova® Frost Pink in an area with full sun, using well-draining soil that leans slightly alkaline or neutral. This lavender performs well with moderate watering—give it a thorough drink, then allow the topsoil to dry a bit before watering again. A monthly, balanced fertilizer application encourages healthy roots and keeps foliage bright. In especially hot climates, a light mulch layer can help retain moisture without soaking the crown.
Light trimming after the main bloom flush preserves a neat appearance and may prompt a minor rebloom. If growing in containers, choose a porous pot and avoid overly damp mixes, checking moisture levels frequently in peak summer. In colder regions, apply a thin layer of mulch in winter to shield roots from deep freezes. Tuck potted plants near a sheltered porch if temperatures threaten.
Lavinnova® Frost Pink Spacing
For rows or grouped plantings, allow about 13 to 15 inches of space between each lavender to accommodate mature growth. If you plan to use it as a feature in a pot, select a container around 10 to 12 inches wide to give roots sufficient room and maintain ideal drainage.
