This plant creates a non-stop firework display that lasts all season long. Even during the heat of summer, a lantana will be resilient and a show stopper. The dark green, fragrant foliage is upright in habit and proportionally reaches 30 inches in height and spread. The flowers are small, pink, rounded clusters that are prolific. Each bloom creates a kaleidoscope of colors, ranging from shades of fuchsia to orange and yellow.

Luscious Berry Blend Lantana is both heat and drought tolerant. Hummingbirds and butterflies are attracted to its citrus fragrance. Native to the tropical regions of the Americas and Africa. It is easy to see why it thrives in the heat. excellent in hanging baskets, in landscapes, and in combination pots.

Luscious Berry Blend Lantana Care

Lantana ‘Luscious Berry Blend’ requires full sun (6 plus hours of sun daily) to produce maximum blooms. Its soil and water needs are average. It is recommended that the soil is well-draining and slightly acidic. Water regularly and often to ensure that it does not totally dry out, but once established, it is drought tolerant. Usually, deadheading is unnecessary. If an overabundance of berries form, deadheading would be recommended to stimulate more bloom production. Lantana can be cut back at any time to shape and promote branching. In container culture, benefits from regular fertilization, and in the landscape an application of compost or fertilizer will suffice.

Technically, Lantana is considered a tender perennial, but it is grown as an outdoor annual for most of the US and Canada for zones 8 and below. Lantana thrives in temperatures above 55 degrees F and continually blooms from spring into early fall. This plant does not overwinter in colder climates and cannot tolerate frost. It is perennial in zones 9-11.
