Fragrant, dark green leaves perfectly complement brilliant-orange blooms with yellow highlights. The delectable, showy flowers bloom continuously until frost. The plant has a mounded habit and grows 20-30 inches tall. A Penn State top performer, it is extremely resilient to heat.
Luscious® Marmalade lantana is a favorite of pollinators, attracting butterflies and hummingbirds to your garden. This tropical good looker is drought tolerant. It has an upright growth habit. Plant it for a bright splash of color in your flower borders or use it as a filler in containers and hanging baskets.
Luscious® Marmalade Lantana Care
Your lantana will be successful in poor soil. You may add some compost, but no other fertilization is needed. You do not have to deadhead or prune, although you can trim the plant back to promote more branching if you wish. Plant in full sun. Provide excellent drainage in pots.
You may try to overwinter a lantana. Bring it indoors before the first frost and place it on a sunny windowsill. Don’t let it dry out. In the spring, cut back and plant outside when night temperatures are above 55° F. Lantana leaves can be toxic to pets.
Luscious® Marmalade Lantana Spacing
Each plant has a spread of 20-30 inches. Space them 18-24 inches apart in the landscape. Grow one plant in a 6–8-inch pot and three in a hanging basket.
