Plant Addicts Warranty - 1 Year (Extra Purchase Required)

We encourage all plant lovers to purchase the Plant Addicts Warranty, whether you're a new gardener or an expert. There are many variables outside of anyone's control that can cause a plant to die. Hungry animals, drought, poor soil conditions, over watering, diseases & pests are all good examples of what can cause plants to die. The Plant Addicts Warranty is a 1 year warranty protecting you from all of the unknowns and will replace your plant if something were to happen to it.

The warranty is purchased on a per plant basis and must be purchased at the same time as the plant(s). We will cover 100% of the price of the plant, but the warranty does not cover shipping costs. SImply let us know if your plant has died within 1 year of receiving it and we will get you a new one shipped out as soon as possible (depending on the time of the year and availability). We may ask for photos for documentation purposes, but we try to make the process as easy as possible.

Guarantee and Warranty

Plant Shipping

Below are some factors we consider when determining when to ship the plants depending on the timing of the order.

Winter to Early Spring

We ship only when it's warm enough to plant in your growing zone.
Sometimes plants aren't completely ready to sell and ship in early spring. We will wait until the plants are ready before shipping so you don't get a subpar product.
For Southern plants we will be able to ship much earlier than plants coming from our northern nursery.

Summer

If there is extreme heat we may delay shipping for a week or several weeks.
We review what areas the plants are traveling through as well as your location.

Fall into Winter

We’ll ship plants out all the way up to the end of the fall planting season!

Winter

Get your order in early to reserve your plants for Spring planting!

Once your plant is shipped you’ll receive an automated email with tracking information.

Plants Included In Main Street USA Annual Combination

Do you remember walking down the street when you were a kid, when most all of your neighbors and your parents hung the American flag on the porch, sometimes just during the holidays, and some had them out all the time? And how about all the hanging baskets that were swaying from the porch eaves? Main Street USA evokes a time when life was a little bit slower, people were able to be home more often, and kids played in yards or rode their bicycles on the sidewalk. There are still towns and cities that are like that and this hanging basket will take you back to that time and place.

Red, White and Blue...stirs the most patriotic feelings in our hearts. Petunias are the perfect annual to deliver that message to you as they are as iconic as our flag is. Supertunias are an improved variety of garden petunias. They are more disease resistant, do not flush out during the hottest months of summer and do not go to seed. They love full sun and lots of it as it gives them the energy they need to make those nonstop blooms. Petunias are native to South America where they grow in the grasslands in full sun, with well draining sandy loam soil and intermittent rain and dry periods.

Main Street USA Annual Combination Care

In most regions of the USA, they are grown as warm season annuals, placed out after the danger of the last frost, and bloom until the first frost takes them out. Plant where they will receive full sun, and use loose, good draining soil Add a slow release fertilizer when you first plant them and supplement with a water soluble fertilizer every couple of weeks for lush green growth and repeat blooming. If you water only when the top two inches of soil is dry, you will avoid creating soggy soil which petunias do not tolerate.

Choose a 12 inch container when planting the 4 ¼ inch pot size plants and space them out up to 12 inches apart to give room to grow and allow good air circulation. The plants will quickly grow, filling your container and spilling over and trailing up to 30 inches. Deadheading is not required as the plant will drop its spent flowers. Pinch plants back a little when first established to promote branching and set the stage for increased flowering and do not be afraid to give them a little trim in mid season to keep them in shape and promote even more flowering.

Main Street USA Annual Combination Ideas

Container gardening is a great way to enjoy these iconic annuals, but you can capitalize on their vigorous growth in your garden bed or landscape border as well. Again, full sun with well draining soil and watering only when dry will keep your Supertunias happy and healthy. In the ground they will only require a one time application of slow release fertilizer, perhaps two applications if you have a long season of blooms. Bring back that Main Street USA feeling by planting these patriotic colors in your garden, landscape or container garden this spring.
